I just read a bit of fanfic labelled 'Hurt/Comfort", and it was distinctly light on the "Comfort" part of things. Now I feel sick, and angry, and I want to read things where a bullied and abused character gets a public, comprehensive, and possibly violent revenge on their tormentors.

[the faceless harassers killed the guy's cats, and I really wanted him to kill them right back. this did not happen]
