That is sort of cute, and honestly, I hate how it's sort of popular to hate on them. They make some catchy songs, they're a fun boyband. Nah, they're not super-innovative songwriters, but not everyone needs to be.

I like this song because it's catchy too, hell I probably like more of their stuff than I realise because I'm unaware that it's them.

If this song had come out when I was a teenager, I would've been all over it. I know I would've. I certainly understand the appeal-it's no different than me swooning over the Backstreet Boys' love songs when I was a teen, after all.

And I also completely understand the nostalgia factor. There's songs I hear that take me back to memories of my high school boyfriend, too :).

The lyrics to that song are kinda dumb and teenager-ish imo, but teens are their intended demographic any way and it does sound like the kind of thing an infatuated teenage boy would tell his girlfriend to boost her confidence. The melody is really nice and I actually like the song a lot, but I prefer the Piano Guys' instrumental version.

I like it, up until the "you don't realize you're beautiful and that's what makes you beautiful" because it's hard not to hear it as "your insecurity makes you beautiful".

I saw it more like the fact that she's not stuck up about being beautiful makes her beautiful or something. Which is sorta silly but it's definitely what teenage girls love to hear.

I wish more stuff aimed at teenage girls taught them that confidence is good in healthy doses. And not the 'insecure or stuck up' dichotomy.

That and "it doesn't have to be 'me vs other girls' ".
