It's really difficult to talk about those sort of subjects haha. People usually either get preachy or angst about how hard it is. Not that those things don't have their place, but imo that emphasizes their status as a minority and focuses less on them as a person.

That said this looks pretty dang cute.

That does look cute!

And I hate to say it, I'm ridiculously turned off by any social justice comic because I also hate preaching. I wouldn't mind reading a cute, genuine comic about trans issues though.

This strikes me more as "educational" than "preachy" in intent, tbh.

I think so too. She seems very sweet as a character.

Yeah I don't get preachy from this, it's cute.

One of my biggest beefs with stories that talk about GSM folks is that they tend to view "being GSM" as a personality trait and don't necessarily bother to really develop the character as a PERSON beyond what's in their pants or the pants of those into whose pants they wish to get. Stories that write them* as just people who happen to be GSM are like rare diamonds among a lot of chunks of graphite.

*I am bi, but people tend not to write us at all, or else write us in really weird ways as a side story rather than actual focus of the main plot, so I'm not sure I should necessarily include myself as "us"

I used to be a guy
No, darling. You're still a guy. Wearing a skirt and using a girl's name doesn't make you a girl, your chromosomes still say XY.

You could try a LITTLE harder, don't you think?

Painting an orange red doesn't make it a tomato.
