Any collection of submitted 'ghost experiences'. I'm always hooked but also terrified.

The Last Post by Rheanna

After all, the whole point of LJ -- the reason LJ exists -- is so people can make a record, write down the things that matter to them. You know the things I'm talking about: fic and meta and late night angst about the meaning of life and funny stories about our cats. Millions and millions of words. And that doesn't even include the photos and the fanart and the vids and the podfics. Take all that away and what are you left with? Nothing. A big empty space where all those voices used to be.

Candle Cove, Russian Sleep Experiments, Slenderman, the SCP Foundation.

The Russian Sleep Experiment is so creepy. I'm fond of horror that uses sleep deprivation.

I like Candle Cove, SCP is a fond of creepy (and sometimes hilarious too), and I have a long fondness for classic "Where's Waldo?" Slenderman pictures.

I loved the original Smiling Man, but wasn't that impressed with the short film of it. Mainly because I imagined the narrator as a woman, because I related to that fear of "woman walking alone at night" and seeing it from a guy's POV didn't have as much of an impact.

I read it as being pretty gender ambigious, though I can see why you would be disappointed in a male narrator. It does capture the fear of walking alone at night well.

I don't freak out easily, but Smiling Man really scared me. I read it late one night on reddit and couldn't sleep at all. I haven't watched the film, and it sounds like I should just stick to the 'story', anyway.

Smiledog, Ben Drowned, Who Was Phone?, And Then a Skeleton Popped Out!

I would've added Jeff the Killer to the list, because I like the character, but the story isn't too great.

I'll even add Slenderman to the list, even though he's technically not Creepypasta.

I remember seeing this when it was first floating around tumblr. It got me good.

Most of the Pokemon ones.

And Abandoned by Disney actually had me questioning the validity of that one. >_>;;
