So here's a confession for F!S: When I watch baseball, I inherently like players a bit more if they wear their socks up. Regardless of team, and regardless of their actual skill. Socks, and socks with stirrups, are the way to go. Especially if it's a small, speedy player. Then it's <3 <3.

I blame Peter Bourjos. Although he wore even prettier socks as a Cardinal. Striiiiipes. I expect to see him rocking the Phillies Liberty Bell socks soon.

Fun fact: In 2015, Hector Santiago had a 1.91 ERA in the six games he started while wearing his socks up. Compare that to his 3.59 ERA overall. Joe Blanton has said he always wears socks up because it makes him have better control/awareness of his leg kick, so maybe Hector benefited for that reason. On the other hand, Joe Blanton kinda sucks, so maybe not!

Hunter Pence is awesome and notable for wearing the tallest socks in baseball: above the knee. WTF even is that stance? Who cares, it's awesome and the socks make it even cooler.

Ian Kinsler is a jackass, but wearing socks makes it a little more tolerable. As does repeatedly watching that gif.

Nice.

Businessmen in sock garters are my primary sock kink, but I definitely appreciated those photos.
