Yeah see, but what the OP is getting at is that Jedi's are like monks, they take a kind of vow of chastity because romantic entanglements can be seen as worldly attachments. That doesn't mean they think of it as being evil, but it is part of their code as Jedi. It is a romantic notion that either Luke and or Obi-wan live their lives without offspring, because they are upholding that code even when there is no one around to enforce it.
