I can imagine it and it's been done in other places but I think the whole point of the prequels is that the Jedi created an unhealthy space by trying to force their members to live up to the no emotional attachments rule.

It was addressed a bit in The Clone Wars and in KOTOR... and it's not something Obi-Wan or Yoda seemed to impress on Luke, so I think they realized what an error it was after Anakin.

I'd rather that be disgarded, there's still lots of other rules for them to follow.
