Like honestly, have japser or peridot even done anything that bad?

They're worst crimes seem to be unquestionably following the diamonds orders, which considering the place they were raised seems like self preservation.

I agree, and honestly, I think that's why Peridot's redemption worked (or at least has so far).

I wouldn't want to apply redemption to every villain ever, but I like it when it's done well for the right characters.

Some people on Tumblr have said everyone who's supported Homeworld is irredeemable because Homeworld is imperialist and redemption for any of them is a "slap in the face" (hate that phrase) to people whose countries are experiencing imperialism today! Oh Tumblr.

I just gotta wonder if they feel the same way about every other one of the million things where the antagonists' goal is "Take Over the World/Galaxy/Universe."

They certainly don't feel that way about Loki.

These people are going to EXPLODE when we see Rose's backstory. I guarantee you there was a point when she was actively leading the exploitation of new worlds.

I don't think it's a far stretch to imagine that Jasper and Peridot helped in someway to take over planets. They may not have immediately gone down to scrap with locals, but all of this is just kind of inferred, so.
