I can't stand when people pretend their personal headcanons are canon, then go on and harass anyone who thinks differently from them.

Agreed. This is especially true in a fandom that leaves a lot of wiggle room for interpretation. This argument occasionally crops up in my fandom with people who think their headcanons are the only way to interpret canon. I have pretty clear interpretations of canon and some clear headcanons, but I'm not going to confuse that with canon.
