Well, if you're posting it as fanfic, good news! Genderswap is popular in every fandom I've been in. I'm not saying 'you're just homophobic' fans don't exist, but I do think they're less prevalent than people think they are. And I've already seen fem!Zira in this fandom.

If you're posting it as original fic, MORE GOOD NEWS! Provided you aren't a completely dreadful writer, no one should be able to tell it's inspired by GO, and therefor no one will care about the genderswap.

It's ok to not be into things, OP. Even if those things are gay.

Therefore means thus or consequently.

Therefor is an archaic form meaning for that object or purpose, in exchange for this or that or it. Mostly used formally or in legal documents, therefor is an adverb and is related to the adverbs thereof which means of that, thereafter which means after that, and therein which means in there.
