Look, just because I watch Drag Race on youtube sometimes does not mean I want to see makeup commercials. I do not wear makeup. Stop.

You know, maybe I would be okay with this if google actually had any idea of what I actually wanted. I would be just fine with a bunch of video game ads.

It's not even properly targeted. I just get baby stuff because I have ovaries and am at an age where a lot of women have kids.

Youtube keeps giving me pregnancy test ads or car commercials, I want neither. Stop it.

Youtube is the absolute worst. I once watched a comedy skit with the title "I got PREGNANT" by one of my favorite comedy channels (it was actually pretty funny).

For the next three months I got ads for diapers, suggestions to watch a bunch of midwife shit, and I was just like NO. WHY. NO. WHYYYY.

Oh jeeze this must be it for me too. I pretty much only use youtube for some gaming, make-up and the occasional vlog channel but I do watch videos of baby animals, so it's probably taking the word 'baby' and assuming that means people too.

Bad youtube, no.

Yeaaaahhh... the reason I don't search for "baby animal" stuff anymore, and only look for "kittens" or "puppies".

At least that way I'm more likely to get ads for pet food or litter.

Not everybody wants to strip content creators of their revenue. Doesn't mean they have to like the ads and never speak negatively of them.

I have adblock on my PC but I use my tablet for a lot of my youtube viewing and there's no way to get adblock to work on the youtube app.

I can only imagine what mine must look like if I ever disabled adblocker. I bet they think I wear fabulous vintage-inspired dresses every day, while I care for my 3 children and my large fish tank. None of these things are truuuuuuue.

I disable mine because I am subscribed to a Let's Play channel that I really want to support, but who refuses to get a Patreon for whatever reason. So I suck it up and deal with the ads so they can get revenue from my clicks.
