Re: Gender thread

Let's just establish that I am not genderqueer, nor have I ever known anyone who was openly genderqueer. The thing I can't figure out is why people think someone would want to pretend they're genderqueer. Does that sound fun to you? Does having people roll their eyes and tell you genderqueer isn't a thing sound fun?

I guess I understand when it's a teenager saying they're genderqueer. If a teen came out to me as genderqueer I would be supportive, but I also would not be the least surprised if it turned out they were just trying it on. However, there are plenty of adult people out there who identify as genderqueer, and it seems pretty ridiculous to assume every single one of them is just doing it for social justice points or whatever.
