nah, that's why I liked it to be honest. I always had a feeling Dean would swear a lot (Sam, on the other hand, swears a little) - in constant life-or-death situations, people are gonna swear. In shock or fear or relief or adrenaline, it happens all the time. Ask anyone who's ever been in the military.

the reason this was the only episode that showed it is because it was the only one that went with that reality-tv style, and reality tv shows are littered with beeped-out cursing. Supernatural is meta as fuck - the fourth wall is like constructed out of paper at this point. And this was just another way they fucked around with it: the characters don't know they're characters in a tv show, they're not Deadpool. but this episode was the Ghostfacers essentially shooting a pilot for the show they wanted to make, so through that lens we got to see what Sam and Dean would have been more like if Supernatural were a different style of show.
