Re: Brunch!

I like long, good, extensive breakfasts very much. However a lot of the practical execution of brunch on the contemporary milieu turns me off. In particular, there seems to be a large emphasis on waiting hours for a table, and going to the most places. And it also seems to be frankly one of those things for people who are better looking than me and better dressed than me and intimidatingly cool. So it's not for me.

That's the weirdest interpretation of brunch I've ever seen. The only part that makes sense is the time suck.

It's not very well written generally (i was rushing through three things at once) so I apologize for that. However one particular clarification is that I meant to say that people focus on going to the most popular, crowded places over anything else. Not the most places.

Ahhhh, yeah there does seem to be a subset for whom brunch is more about status than enjoying food wih family/friends, and that's irritating.
