Re: OP
That being said... I still think you should give the DLC a try. Have you played the original Bioshock? It's a little ham-fisted in its themes still, but it's overall a better game and better story. (I also recommend 2 -- you can tell that's the best one because Ken Levine, in his infinite wisdom, has declared it non-canon because he didn't work on it.) Burial at Sea probably won't have the same impact if you haven't.
(I might just have it in for Levine -- I think he's an egomaniac, but then again a lot of devs who cut their teeth in the 90s and early 2000s are like that. Warren Specter, John Romero, David fucking Cage oh my god.)

Anyway, if you get around to playing the DLC let me know what you think! There was very little I didn't like in it. And 1998 mode was exactly what I wanted it to be.
Re: OP
(Anonymous) 2016-02-27 01:28 am (UTC)(link)I plan to play it eventually! It's on my list of things to buy.
Re: OP
(I hope they make a new Bioshock, though -- with Levine out of the picture it might even be good!)
Re: OP
(Anonymous) 2016-02-27 01:44 am (UTC)(link)I'd love a new Bioshock but my concern is that Bioshock is big on twists, and while I did like Infinite, it's twist is just on this side of good. Trying to top that will dive into bad fanfic territory. Also I'd want a new Bioshock with the same set up as one and two because again, Infinite's combat system sucked.
Re: OP
i never touched the dlc because i was so fucked off with bsi
