I meant that in a "have no connection to TV period" sense.

I know it's usually on one of those major network channels I could technically get for free if I had a digital receiver. But I don't. Because I don't watch TV anymore.

...how many people have receivers and no cable, anyway?

Not who you were replying to but

I have a TV set for gaming but no cable/satellite/Netflix/anything else. It's awkward to say you don't have TV when in fact you do have a TV.

Because I'm used to "cable" being shorthand for "being able to get any sort of channels for my TV" even though it's technically incorrect. Because I either have cable or no TV connections at all. I don't know anyone that has just free basic TV channels via antenna either. Usually people understand my meaning when I say "no cable" the few times it comes up in conversation.

Which is my stupid fault and not anyone else's, I know.
