DC VERSUS MARVEL

(Anonymous) 2016-02-28 09:38 pm (UTC)(link)Cinematic Universe: Marvel
Animated Universe: DC
Re: DC VERSUS MARVEL
(Anonymous) 2016-02-28 09:39 pm (UTC)(link)And Superman because I'm one of those boring people who prefers him over Batman (unless it's Dick Grayson!Batman)
Re: DC VERSUS MARVEL
Bruce is pretty much that gloomy goth kid who isn't unlikable but can be hard to be around. Dickbats is a lot more like BTAS Batman, there's a warmth to him that simply isn't there in most depictions of Bruce.

(Anonymous) 2016-02-28 09:49 pm (UTC)(link)Oh yeah, I definitely agree with you there. I loved Bruce in BTAS and The Batman Adventures comics (god, that was a great series. there were some issues that didn't quite reach the mark but the majority of it was very solid), but he got so gritty/angst-y in other continuities that it just wasn't fun for me anymore

SUPERMAN > BATMAN
I am a complex, multifaceted individual.

Re: DC VERSUS MARVEL
Out of those two though, I like Batman more because he's more complex as a character. Superman comes across as a big ol' Marty-Stu to me (unless there's some Superman stories I missed that proves me wrong.)
Plus, Batman has The Joker. You can't go wrong (or right) with The Joker.

Re: DC VERSUS MARVEL
(Anonymous) 2016-02-29 12:26 am (UTC)(link)I've just been on the DC train since I was a kid. Those were the characters I connected with. And once you connect with a few you get suck into the whole universe. I don't have enough time to get pulled into marvel too.
And Batman. I love Bruce. I love making fun of Bruce. I when Bruce is being a dad. I love when Bruce is being a dick, which is often. I just love Bruce.
The only thing that I don't care for with Batman is when they over exaggerate his abilities compared to the rest of the Justice Leauge. Bats vs. Superman? Come on, Clark has laser vision. Batman's valuable because he works with them and can come up with a stragtegy. Making him fight them and having him win because he's Batman and can do no wrong is stupid.
Re: DC VERSUS MARVEL
Batman is more interesting to me than Superman from what I know of them.
