Snape was a hero who died to save the wizarding world. Harry named his son in part after him as dedication to his bravery and selflessness. Check yourself.

Harry's an idiot. This seems to be the one universally accepted truth in Snape fandom except when it comes to Harry naming his kid, which makes no sense because that is like the major example of his idiocy, but hey I guess if it benefits Snape who cares?

*sa disclaimer here that I don't actually think Harry's an idiot, but that Albus Severus did feel like one of his typically, if not most, short-sighted decisions and I love how people are allowed to call him out on every other short-sighted decision except that one.

So you're probably never going to see this but…

THANK YOU.

Seriously, why do people never get that Harry has a history of forgiving the less unsavory aspects of people, especially those who helped "La Resistance"?

Snape saved Harry's life, so Harry's going to feel some gratitude, albeit misplaced. Albus Dumbledore also did some shitty things to Harry, but he still named his son Albus Severus.
