I really like how they've been developing the relationship between Sherlock and Marcus in the show.

Yeah it's been fun. Honestly I just love Marcus a whole hell of a lot so I always enjoy it when he gets some more screen-time and his interactions with Sherlock are some of my faves(I love the Joan+Marcus interactions too tbh).

I was slow to appreciate Marcus. He's such a quiet character and didn't get a lot of screentime initially, and what he got was mostly case-related. But I really fell in love with their relationship when they teamed up to find that zebra-baby. And I loved when Marcus was having issues with his girlfriend, and Sherlock tried to help in his Sherlock-way. Now that Marcus seems to have a handle on Sherlock, I really dig them together. And I feel Sherlock has grown a great deal and come to appreciate Marcus as he deserves. I can totally see why you'd OTP them. :)

I get that, I warmed up to him pretty quick but I can see how it could take longer because compared to Sherlock and even Joan he's not quite as in your face, that and they didn't give him as much screen-time in season 1.

The zebra episode was wonderful and I loved it so much, it was just really nice to see them working together and Marcus trying to get Sherlock to call him by his first name. :3

Yeah they've been building on their friendship slowly but in a nice way, they wouldn't have been best buds at the first interaction, Sherlock is a bit too abrasive for that and Marcus didn't get him back then, but it's developed over the seasons from mutual trust and respect. It's not the most usual friendship in the world but I love it.
