Put out applications and lie through your teeth about the experience. I'm not kidding. Most employers aren't actually looking at the numbers; they're weeding out people that won't even try because they're afraid they won't get hired.

Everyone lies on their applications, so don't worry. Get yourself out of that situation as soon as you can. I've been there before, and I know, it's killer.

That's terrible advice. "Everyone" doesn't lie on their applications, because most people suck at lying and if you get caught you will most likely get fired.

I do hiring for a company that takes on a lot of new hires. Trust me, most people lie on their applications.
