Oh god, the idea of my super conservative, homophobic parents ever seeing any of my writing honestly terrifies me. I write pretty much exclusively porn, and mostly slash porn at that. Plus a lot of it is super kinky and involves power dynamics of one sort or another. Especially my dad who is a Tolkien fan and who would not only hate the stuff I write but think that I was blaspheming Tolkien's works.

My parents are more liberal than I am. Mr. Iceyred's dad has never met a liberal cause he didn't like...except when it comes to his baby girl's sexuality. On the rare and usually accidental moments when it comes up, Daddy turns bright red and goes on 'the youtube' in search of wholesome music from the 1950s.

Hahaha. I don't think any parents really want to know that their children have any sexuality (any more than kids want to know about their parents' sex lives).

My parents are of the view that no one should have a sexuality at all until they are married. The one time they caught me looking at porn, I got sent to some sort of therapist. After that I always retitle things on my computer and keep it under a password and hope they don't find it.

LOL, agreed. My parents were never the "wait until you're married" types (though they definitely preferred we wait until we were adults, which was fine with me, since I wanted that, too), and they've fully accepted that since my sister and I are both adults, sex is or will be part of our lives at some point. Even when we were teenagers, they weren't naive enough to think we wouldn't be curious or at least look things up or whatever.

But when it comes to going into specific detail about the things we like or are interested in regarding sex, yeah, we pretty much just let that part of it all remain a mystery :p. Don't need to know, don't want to know.
