Don't generalise. I am a woman and I am perfectly safe online. Don't give strangers your personal life details the first time you meet them. Don't engage in risky hook ups. Exercise some general common sense, for corn sake and stop being such an infant. The world is not your safe space.

Agreed. I came of age in the dawn of the internet, when it was a given that the internet was not safe. That was the price we paid for the free exchange of ideas.

It infuriates me that we are letting these oversensitive toddlers threaten that.

Word. I first got online with the idea of always using a screen name firmly set. The only people online who have my RL details are my bank, Ebay and PayPal. Everyone else gets Mimi Sardinia.
