This isn't strictly writer related, but I was thinking of participating in a big bang as a contributing artist, but I'm not sure if I would be able to do it due to time and the amount of artwork expected.

Could anyone tell me from their own experience, or anything they've heard about this process? How are people matched up, is it according to interest in pairings, genre's etc?
