Or... or... you could write for fandoms set in other countries AND put in some good faith effort to get it right and respectful? Is that not an option?

You missed this part: put in some good faith effort

That's not the same thing as writing a flawless piece and you'll note my comment said nothing about not getting anything wrong. OP is not unreasonable for thinking that writers could at least get the details that are in the canon correct.
