Have you ever caused a flamewar?

By accident or on purpose.

Who among us was not a wanky teen at some point? I mean, really now.

Everyone be honest with yourselves.

My wanky teen days were before I had internet access. I was just annoying in person, instead.

Accidentally, though directed at me. Years ago I posted to one of those wank comms about something racist I'd seen on a forum; the thing is that I was a newbie, and didn't realize this particular wank comm (clairvoyant_wank, maybe?) was supposed to be funny wank only. Everyone started coming at me with "racism isn't funny" tags and... yeah, I caused a LOT of drama.

Looking back... it was so long ago I forget what I wrote, but I'm 99% sure I would've been clear that the racism in question was something I considered bad. So it was probably an overreaction. Maybe not, though, I forget how I worded it. A friend who was a mod finally explained to me why everyone thought I was trying to celebrate racism. I considered apologizing but ultimately just let it go.

Not wars, but I'd say I've started some flame minor battles. Flame skirmishes.

I'm still peeved that one of my secrets was very misinterpreted in a way that caused minor wank, and my clarification was shouted down as people thinking I was backtracking from my original statement. When in fact they simply didn't understand what I was talking about before. Dollmaker websites are srs bsns, dontcha know. Fuckers.

I have a history of asking questions that aren't flames in and of themselves, but are very inviting for people who want to flame. I consider it worth it so long as I get some good discussion before the wankers show up.
