Nobody asked your worthless opinion. If you don't enjoy the writing threads, just scroll on.

Just tired of people who only comment to whine and gripe about how everything sucks and then act like their insight is some gift to humanity that's being rejected.

Yep. People getting out their anger at strangers on the internet with their deep insights that involve tearing others down. Whatcha gonna do? I don't think I'll share anything today...

I triggered myself in my writing (original fiction) last week, and I haven't gone back to it. Not happy about that...

I'm working on some fics that depend on some smut, and when I'm feeling randy, I can imagine all the right words for those scenes -- not just the dialogue, but everything else, too.

But as soon as I sit down to write it, my fingers just rest on the keys and my mind is a useless blank. I've thought about speaking the lines as I think them into a recorder, since I live alone, but then my mind is still a useless blank.

That's pretty much how smut writing goes for me too. I have to be in the right mood for it I guess, haha.

I find it really hard to summarize or explain what i'm writing. I feel it always sounds underwhelming, even if the idea is great (and the actual writing is something I'm satisfied about). I just don't know.

I'm right there with you. I also don't want to give away too much. Tagging and summarizing are actually the hardest part of writing to me.

Summaries are the worst.

Writing fic based on something a friend requested tonight. Having the time of my life.

I find Pacemaker (the word count planner, idk if anyone else here uses it?) really helpful for keeping myself on track especially for fic exchanges and the like, but ALSO it makes me so hyperaware of when I'm behind in my writing ;_;

I want to write a story in the vein of Grimm's Fairy Tales but I'm still chugging away on my Big Bang.

Ooh! Any particular one?

Re: Writing thread!

Kinda of a combination but Bluebeard, and Brother and Sister were the two big ones. I was actually just reading a whole bunch of them on wiki and I wanted to write my own with some of the common themes in the non-princess tales.

I found a writing prompts book on sale that I bought on a whim. I think the book is a self-reflecting thing more than anything, but I've decided that I will pick one at random at least once a week and write something from the POV of a randomly picked character from my original writing project as a character development tool. I think it'll be a good exercise.

That sounds brilliant, mind if I borrow this method?

My muse is fickle. I'm still working on things I don't want to be working on and not working on the things I actually get done.

But my muse is also productive right now. I've written 3 fics this week and am working on a chapter of another today.
