Probably either Astro Boy or Scott Bernard in the third part of Robotech. I don't really recal for sure though, but I do recall having a fondness for the name Rick which probably came from Robotech as well.

Also, Amalthea/the Unicorn. The cartoon movie of The Last Unicorn made me love unicorns and the idea of them shapeshifting into human forms.
