She is going to suck as WW. Diana was an Amazonian and kicked ass at a time when women didn't have superheros. This chick is going to make her a joke. A sexist dirty joke. I wish they never rebooted Wonder Woman.

According to a short review I read today, Wonder Woman is supposed to be really good. I don't quite believe it either, but I also don't think you should judge a movie you haven't seen yet.

How can it be a reboot if it's the first attempt at a standalone live action film? I mean, I can understand not wanting it to be done this way, but you have to ask them to do it at some point.

Just so we're operating from the same page, which version of Wonder Woman do you like? And don't say "The one who was strong and feminist and kicked ass" because that doesn't mean anything. Do you like the Marston-era WW? The 50s WW? 70s TV Linda Carter WW? 60s kung fu WW? Maybe the George Perez run? DCAU WW with the Batman flirtation?

This isn't some kind of "fake geek girl" quiz, I'm just trying to establish, specifically, what you feel Gadot is not going to live up to.

It's Lynda Carter and yes she is Wonder Woman.

Good choice! That show was goddamn terrific, and Ms. Carter was a major reason why. Sure, it's kind of 70s-cheesy, but it's FUN, and their portrayal of Wonder Woman is a damn good starting place for future adaptations.

Words are hard, huh? Amazonian is a member of the Amazon race which was a fictional group of women who were renowned for their fighting skills. Diana Prince aka Wonder Woman was a member of the Amazons.

Words are hard anon. You bet. That's why you keep using the word "Amazonian" wrong.

It's a descriptor. "That woman was positively Amazonian."

A woman that belongs to the Amazons is not "Amazonian", she's an Amazon. The only "Amazonians" there are, are the people who live by the Amazon river. But they're called Amazonians, it's not connected to the word "Amazon" pertaining to the warrior women.

The fact that she doesn't have the right body type or look. That she is going to end up being some eye candy in a batman vs superman movie before the wonder woman movie. She looks like she is more concerned with being sexy then with kicking ass.
