And? That’s how some artists are successful. They have a market and they can sell. I follow a porn artist on tumblr who basically draws everyone as big girls and they share very samey faces. But she's good and her art is pretty and she sells.

Also, you think he's over priced? Looking at your exampkes alone, I say his skill is worth that much. On top of how much time it takes to even DO art.

That whole line just makes you sound like an entitled asshole who wants their porn art for free, fuck the artist.

In fact, this whole secret sounds entitled and jealous of his success.

You do realize they said "for a sketch commission", right? Which no, like fuck no. I've paid very good money for artists I adore to draw me things, and I will be the last person to deny an artist their work.

But I also know the sort of crap I assume the OP is talking about. $100 for a one-person sketch that takes the person 15 minutes to draw is ridiculous. I've gotten full-colour, three different "scenes" (that hentai staple in CG art where they have different expressions, bodily fluids, etc) with two fullbody people in there for $65 completed work. The person who I commissioned this from is easily as talented, if not more than, InCase. They're a professional, have their own successful Patreon, yadda yadda. They also don't over-inflate their shit. In face honestly I would have had no problem paying twice as much for such attention to detail, professionalism and quick turnaround. As it was I gave them a tip.

If InCase was charging $100 for something with some colour, background, or cleaned up lines? Cool. No begrudging from this anon personally, but $100 for a sketch that in all likelihood takes between 20-30 minutes at most for a guy like InCase to do (his output seems pretty damn high volume from what I can tell, and let's be real most artists who rely on stuff like Patreon absolutely have to be high volume, even with the level of fanbase InCase seems to have, people want CONTENT, so they're all extremely proficient and streamlined in what they do, I've seen another friend of mine with a Patreon draw a full body sketch with a ton of crazy little details un around 8 minutes in front of me while we ate lunch together, it was nuts) is absolutely overcharging.

So meh, whatever, I'll be the asshole in this thread because I'm doing something other than blindly kissing this dude's ass (they literally look like every other porn bimbo out there so I have no idea personally what the secret OP even liked about them from the beginning, I could swear I've seen like 8 million other artists who do the same exact thing), but so be it.

So fucking what? He can do the work, he's well liked, has people who obviously wanna pay that much, and, going by the other comments about supply and demand, he has every fucking right to charge that much.

Just because YOU and the OP don't like it, well, tough fucking luck. Don't spend that money.

Also, were he actually doing this professionally? That 100 for a sketch would be pennies.

And that peron you commissioned sounds as though they under sold themselves regardless. At least this dude seems to have some actual awareness about his value. And that's something mowt artists who do commission work really really lack.
