Aside from when you're the host, or immediate family of the host, does anyone actually like weddings and showers? Especially showers. I've never actually heard anyone say "I can't wait to go to that shower next Sunday afternoon!"

I love weddings! I genuinely have fun at them. I have not been to a shower though (in my experience those are reserved for close friends of the bride- or mother-to-be and nobody I'm that close with in my age group has gotten married or pregnant yet)

it's cool if others don't like them of course. I enjoy them :)

I like showers, but then I am a huge sucker for free food AND take a weird delight in watching people open presents

I like weddings. Never been to a baby shower but they do seem to me like i would find them really boring.
