Wine. Apparently I am the only woman in her 20s who finds wine unpleasant. Granted I also find most other alcohol* unpleasant, because the taste is bitter and nasty to me, but it seems like every woman around my age is super into drinking wine as their social beverage of choice and I just cannot stand the stuff.

*except stuff like wine coolers and Mike's hard lemonade and spiked punch where you can't taste the alcohol that much

I'm another 20-something woman who doesn't like wine!

Or at least, I don't like much wine that I've had. I told my dad I didn't like it and he said I might find some someday since there are so many kinds.

But I'm not going to drink cheap nasty wine just because it's WINE.

I don't hate alcohol in general, wine just has a kind of semi-sweet, but still bitter taste that I don't care for. I don't like bitter and sweet together.

Wine literally tastes like consuming rotting grapes to me. And okay, yes, that's basically what wine is--but that should NOT be what it tastes like. NOTHING one is actually meant to consume should taste like rotting food.

How much were you exposed to alcohol growing up? Because I grew up in a household that disdained alcohol so I never really encountered it much and by adulthood thought it was foul (except that one time I tried a shot of butterscotch-flavoured rum).

I know alcoholic drinks are an acquired taste, but I don't see why I should acquire it, when I know it's unhealthy (my diet is unhealthy enough as it is).
