(Anonymous) 2016-03-05 03:59 am (UTC)(link)Some of my reasons are kind of petty, but for starters I started to really resent him when the fandom treated him like he was great and awesome (when I found him really bland, like his backstory and such just bored me) but Cloney was a complete evil monster who ate Fai's eye. And I kind of blame him a little bit for the fact that he spent a good portion of the series terrifying Cloney and even trying to strangle him without any indication that the clone was going to do anything evil. But it's mostly the 'he's extremely bland and yet everyone (including the story) makes it seem like we should love him completely without giving any decent character development beyond pushing the plot forward'.
