I think in reality, how clean a bathroom is depends on how frequent the cleaners are. I really only trust shopping centre bathrooms, and they usually have good, frequent cleaners.
Besides, Mum has a tale of a woman who let her young kid shit on the floor in a public bathroom. The women waiting basically barricaded her exit and pressured her into cleaning it up. Unfortunately a situation like this probably couldn't happen these days (that incident probably happened in the 70s) as she'd probably be able to call the cops over it, but it's just an example of women being just a filthy and uncaring.
