Pls illuminate those of us not in the know

It's been years, so I might be getting it totally wrong, but basically there was this one anon who came on asking what they should do about finding out that their male cousins (so brothers) were in a romantic relationship. Then some time after that one of the brothers came on saying how inappropriate it was for the cousin to talk about the relationship he had with his brother. I think there were more posts as well, but I don't really remember. I also don't remember whether or not it was real or if turned out to be fake. Sadly don't have any links either, though I'm sure someone has.

What the fucking fuck.

I don't have links, either, but I remember the OP coming back after the fact and saying that the basic story was true but she (I'm pretty sure it was a girl anyway) exaggerated the details for drama (there was something about their dad being abusive and she said she was afraid he'd murder them if he found out about their relationship or something, and I think that part was made up).

Why would you feel the need to spice up a tale of sibling incest like how is that not enough

Haha no idea but that's a good point. It should be dramatic enough on its own.

That OP was me actually. I was going through some crazy shit at the time and in some weird way making it sound like someone else had an even more fucked up life than me made me feel better about things. (I'm pretty sure I mentioned in the original post having problems with my boyfriend at the time...that situation only got worse and more insane, but I'm finally past it now.) I did say a lot of negative, awful things about my cousins and make some things sound much worse than they really were. I feel bad about it all now, but all I can say is that that was a really dark time in my life, though I know that that's no excuse.

Things are much better for me now, though. I've been through a lot of therapy and I actually have a girlfriend (people probably remember that I was not exactly open-minded about sexuality initially and I guess that was part of working through my own sexuality issues, which I think at least contributed to my overall depression back then) and though my cousins wouldn't talk to me for a long time, we're back on speaking terms and fairly close again. The person who responded above is actually right, the basic facts of the story were/are true. I know it's hard to believe and a lot of people probably still think it's fake (tbh, I don't blame them) but the general story was true, though I admit I did exaggerate a lot about the specifics. Anyway, they're actually still together, and I'm fine with it now. It took a long time for me to accept, but they're happy so I'm ok with it.

I'm honestly surprised people still remember my post, it was so long ago!
