Not rich by any means, but I'm not struggling.

My husband and I both went to state-supported schools, worked while we were students, and paid tuition as we went. We both have decent jobs in our field, thought it took us a few years to get them. We live in a low cost of living area and don't have children. We don't know how people with children are getting by on our salaries, but for the two of us it's ample and allows us a luxury every now and then.
