Wow, that sucks, OP.

For the record, I was going-to-the-food-bank, no-hot-water-because-we-couldn't-pay-the-bill poor for a lot of my childhood, and only slightly better off now, and I do not go around taking offense to the fact that people have more money than me and aren't hiding it. What an unreasonable thing to get offended over.

If you were making posts about poor people being lazy, or about how the minimum wage shouldn't be raised, or about how things you like should be more expensive to keep the riff-raff out, that would be offensive. But simply not hiding the fact that you have decent finances is totally fine.
