I used to be all over age differences, but the older I get, the weirder it is to me. Sigh. There go all my favorite works.

See, for me it's the opposite. The older I get the more I realize fictional teenagers are nothing like real life teenagers. Fictional teens are sort of the equivalent of video game horses. They have all of the cute, and none of the poop.

This is me. When I was a teen, I was all about picturing myself as the younger person and being in a relationship with an older person. Now that I'm older I'm like "why the fuck would an older person want to be in a relationship with a teen?" I don't bash the ships, as I presume that most of the people shipping them are younger and doing what I did when I was younger, but I still find the relationships creepy.

Saaaaaame. One of the most popular ships in my fandom is a 25yo and a 16yo. And as someone who's 26, I'm just like, "Whyyy would the 25yo EVER want to DATE this 16yo CHILD??!?"
