This southern Californian wears slippers indoors 95% of the year. Maybe it's my circulatory weirdness (feet always cold) or just that we have pretty nice carpets. I would occasionally wear my slippers outside to walk to the mailbox if it's dry outside, but that's it. And I dust them off before stepping back onto carpet.
