I can tell by your post! What's Gyokuro like? I never drank that.

It's a very common Japanese green. Which means it's very grassy, earthy, and somewhat mild when brewed properly (i.e. water well below boiling, or as a Japanese friend once advised- boil your kettle, turn it off, drop an ice cube in and then pour).

If you brew it poorly it turns into a sulfurous astringent mess of mouth puckering.

It's really very lovely ice cold, though which is usually how I like to drink it. I reserve it for the summer.
