Civil War
(Anonymous) 2016-03-10 12:15 am (UTC)(link)Re: Civil War
I've gotta find somebody to go to this movie with :X
Re: Civil War
(Anonymous) 2016-03-10 12:57 am (UTC)(link)But I'm with you in getting excited.
Re: Civil War
(Anonymous) 2016-03-10 12:45 am (UTC)(link)I also like the hint that the other Avengers are sympathetic to Steve's POV. You never know how intention translates into the final product, but I feel like they're focusing on the right things. I'm just worried they're too invested in upending Steve, and will take him to places I won't like.
Re: Civil War
(Anonymous) 2016-03-10 01:11 am (UTC)(link)Which, I guess, is par for the course with superhero stuff, because god forbid a hero/hero's friends ever have their actions seriously questioned, but ugh.

(Anonymous) 2016-03-10 01:21 am (UTC)(link)Like yeah, Bucky got a shit deal, but so did the people he killed, and the families of the people he killed, and they do deserve some justice, even if in the end it's decided that no, he wasn't culpable for his actions.

(Anonymous) 2016-03-10 06:40 am (UTC)(link)And I'm sorry, but I don't buy the "no one's supposed to be right" thing - when the protagonist of the work is a superhero who's known for being an utter paragon in all things, it's pretty obvious who we're supposed to see as correct.
Re: Civil War
(Anonymous) 2016-03-10 08:56 am (UTC)(link)And you know all this about a movie we haven't seen? Because marketing can never be misleading, or fails to show the whole picture.
Re: Civil War
(Anonymous) 2016-03-10 01:59 am (UTC)(link)Also, I understand they're probably doing a Luke Skywalker and keeping Spiderman out of the promo material, but apparently it also has something to do with the Sony rights??? Does anyone know what that's about?
