This, of course, does not count the other way. Any action done by Sam is not his fault, even if the show (in a rare break from form) says it's Sam's fault.

(Anonymous) 2016-03-11 04:45 am (UTC)(link)(I'm definitely a Dean Girl, but probably not an extreme one because despite my wanting to bang him, I can still admit that he is capable fo fucking up?)

However, in the eyes of the ESG, anything that is not "Sam is perfect" is an extreme show of hatred against Sam.
(not kidding. Once I said in tumblr that I thought Sam was being unfair to Dean about Dean's intelligence, got told that I was a Sam hater and harassed for about a month in anons tellign me how I was a rape-apologist for defending Dean)
TW: mention of rape
(Anonymous) 2016-03-11 06:34 am (UTC)(link)I mean yes, Sam's a rape victim. But that doesn't mean that nobody can ever criticize anything that he ever says ever again.
Re: TW: mention of rape
(Hell, Dean is also a rape victim, and so is Castiel now thanks to season 9. Of course, the show will never adress that, given that the writers do not understand consent)
Re: TW: mention of rape
(Anonymous) 2016-03-11 08:20 am (UTC)(link)But to compare that whole mess to rape is just so gross.
(Also, I have to wonder how the same fans felt about Sam non-consensually un-demoning Dean when he expressed his clear desire to be left alone to sing karaoke.)
Re: TW: mention of rape
But as you say, nope, not rape.
And those same fans thought Sam was completely in his right to undemon Dean, because he "loved" his brother and knew what was best for Dean so Dean better be grateful for all the sacrifices Sam made. (including selling someone else's soul. That was so heroic)
Incidentally, those same fans also claim that the Gadreel fiasco (Which was a fiasco from the "Non-resucitate" orders pov) was Dean raping Sam because Sam "Forced" an angel into Sam without considering Sam's wishes. (despite Sam saying yes to Gadreel's trickery, which Dean didn't know about, and the last thing Sam told Dean was that he wanted to live)
TBH, besides rolling my eyes at the extreme Sam girls, I just wish the writers stopped writing consent issues in the episodes since they obviously CAN'T write those issues without being gross.
Re: TW: mention of rape
(Anonymous) 2016-03-11 02:53 pm (UTC)(link)With regard to consent issues, I'm kind of dreading how the rest of the Amara storyline is going to play out...
Re: TW: mention of rape
But nooo... it has to be Rape.
But the Amara thing? Despite DEan saying it's against his will? Oh, no, both show and Sam fans insist is totally romantic.
