I'm mad and I've never even seen the show.

+1

Can we please have two ladies on a show that make out and never die? That would be nice.

(Anonymous) 2016-03-12 12:40 am (UTC)(link)
Maybe, just maybe, you shouldn't have looked for it on a show where anyone can die at any time?

(Anonymous) 2016-03-12 12:42 am (UTC)(link)
When "anyone" tends to be the minorities.

(Anonymous) 2016-03-12 01:20 am (UTC)(link)
Yeah, like Jake, Pascal, Atom, Myles, Diggs, Derek, Tor, Dax, Cuyler, Drew, Finn, Sterling, Whitman, Lee, Vincent, Cage, Dante, Chris, and Otan.

Oh, wait. All of those characters were white males.

The 100 is a show where a lot of people die.

(Anonymous) 2016-03-12 02:05 am (UTC)(link)
I watch this show and I only recognize two names on this list (Finn and Otan).

Maybe a white male character who isn't a background character and has only a few seconds of screen time?

(Anonymous) 2016-03-12 02:32 am (UTC)(link)
Did you only start watching recently? You should at least know Jake (Clarke's dad), Atom (liked Octavia, one of Bellamy's flunkies), Dante (leader of Mount Weather), and Cage (Dante's asshole son).

None of the people I listed were "background" characters. Those usually don't get lines to say, or names.

(Anonymous) 2016-03-12 05:59 am (UTC)(link)
Lines and names doesn't detract from the fact they're not the main cast.

(Anonymous) 2016-03-12 06:18 am (UTC)(link)
Lexa wasn't part of the main cast, either.

Broadchurch, The Good Wife, The Walking Dead, American Horror Story, Doctor Who, Jessica Jones, Hannibal, The Wire, The Legend of Korra...

Well, one of them dies in Jessica Jones iirc.

I so love the queer romance in Broadchurch, though. It defies pretty much every convention on TV.

The ex-wife did, but the lawyer and her girlfriend are still alive.

(Anonymous) 2016-03-12 06:13 am (UTC)(link)
And the lawyer has fucked her girlfriend over so thoroughly it'll be both a miracle and terribly creepy if they ever get back together so...

"How to Get Away with Murder" can be added to the list, too, what with Annalise and Eve getting all intimate at times this season.

Mind, given the nature of the show, death could always be a possibility down the line (which I hope won't be the case, 'cause I do like Annalise and Eve together), but as of now, at least...

I wouldn't say HTGAWM has happy endings for the couple, anon.

(Anonymous) 2016-03-12 07:27 am (UTC)(link)
I've gotten a bit behind and haven't had the chance to see the last couple episodes-did something happen with those two recently, then?

Black Sails. Sort of. Monogamy isn't really a thing for anyone there, either.

(Anonymous) 2016-03-12 06:16 am (UTC)(link)
Why is Grey's Anatomy or Gotham not on this list?

(Anonymous) 2016-03-12 10:07 am (UTC)(link)
Walking Dead currently has two gay couples who are alive buuuuut I would never count on TWD to keep them alive :/

(Anonymous) 2016-03-12 05:03 pm (UTC)(link)
Denise and/or Tara are dead, anon. It's going to happen in episode 13 or 14.

(Anonymous) 2016-03-12 04:23 pm (UTC)(link)
You have to squint to see any build up to the f/f relationship in Korra though. That's just my opinion, however!
