Samurai Flamenco

So at someone's recommendation, I watched the first season!

I really liked it, but I'm still WTFing about the mid-season genre-switch. I'm just really confused. Spoilers obviously - why did it go full superhero mode? Right when it seemed like it was trying to delve into reality vs superhero fantasies, which ultimately would make both the model dude and the police dude grow as people? I can really only think that the model had a mental breakdown after hearing his parents were murdered and not being able to feel anything about it, despite it "being the perfect backstory".

I'm not saying I'm mad about the direction it went, it was just completely unprecedented.

Samurai Flamenco (Spoilers!)

SamFlam's a trip, haha.

Remember though that "Flamenco" is a wish-granting word in this universe. So essentially what happened was that Masayoshi wished so hard for sentai stuff to be real so that he could be a superhero, all while dropping the word "Flamenco" all the time, he basically hit the lottery and got his wish fulfilled. It just turned out to be a whole lot more crazy than he anticipated.

ayrt - Just wondering how Flamenco is a wish-granting word? I only watched the first season, and I thought the significance was that his grandmother did Flamenco dancing and his grandfather invented the character, inspired by the passion of that dance along with the image of a samurai.
