I've heard of it before but don't know anything about it. What was great about it, without spoiling it? I have a free weekend!

Not OP, but I thought it was a brilliant decision to have the viewpoint character be someone who's inextricably caught up in the conflict without knowing why. The less you know about the source material, the more surprises it will pull off as he figures out what's really going on. I also loved the parallels between the two generations of characters.

AYRT

Feo above me there covered one of the things I loved most about it: the PoV character is the perfect one to choose, and seeing things through his eyes makes everything seem so intriguing and mysterious.

Also the characters are all really well-rounded and interesting, which is impressive considering that it's a pretty extensive cast list.

The art style is astonishing, and while I think sometimes it uses the wild colors/textures as a crutch (and the CG is unfortunately quite dated), I never got tired of looking at it.

It's honestly really wonderful! I hope you give it a shot. :D
