I loved how it focused on an outsider PoV. It made the Count's schemes even more thrilling and danerous. The style is also an interesting experiment. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't.

The ending is the weakest part of the series which is disappointing, but overall I really enjoyed it.

Yes, seeing things from Albert's point of view really brought the whole story into perspective for me. The Count became such an intriguing character because of it; seeing all that opulence and raw sensuality that just swept the poor boy right under was amazing.

Agreed on the style! It was such an interesting use of color and texture, though I did notice that occasionally it seemed to be trying to distract from mediocre lineart or animation. It was sort of come-and-go, though; some scenes were beautifully animated.

The ending was sort of hot and cold for me for sure-- I really loved some parts of it, and really disliked other parts of it. I see what it was going for (love can be just as cruel as hate, they both come from the same place, etc.), but it was a bit over the top, haha.
