I think one of the reasons this is so eeeh is it's an unfortunate intersection of Healing Cock, and real life issues.

Dysphoria doesn't care if the whole damn world shows up and throws a ticker tape parade for your body being perfect just the way it is, you're still dysphoric. And no amount of Body Positive fringe Men With Boobs And Pussies And Periods And Who Look Just Like Women Are REAL MEN Too! talk can fix it. You fix it by transitioning. That's it.

And in fiction, yeah, Magical Healing Cock is a thing! It's nice to imagine that depression or PTSD or even the flu can be cured by the power of love and a good sweaty hump session. So the idea of using Healing Cock on dysphoria isn't any more unrealistic than using it on PTSD.

But when a lot of trans people are currently battling against the tide of "Have... you just tried maybe just not being trans?" GEE, I NEVER THOUGHT OF THAT. Whoo. I'll try not being diabetic too and WHOA my body just started producing its own insulin through the power of trying!
