Is Sophie a child? I thought she was a young adult.

Though, I really must add the little boy from Howl's Moving Castle to the list. His name escapes me but he is so darn precious.

NAYRT Yeah I assumed Sophie was 18-21ish because she was gainfully employed and yet young enough that she was mocked for 'acting old'.

You're right, I guess I was thinking Miyazaki films and got on a roll. The kid in Howl's Moving Castle is adorable, I agree.

It's not so much enjoyment of that, but that it seems realistic for a child to do those things.

Sophie wasn't a child? Well, she maybe was when they were telling her backstory. (I don't think she was ever in the movie, though)
