What are you doing right now?

I was looking at cat pictures to make a secret for next week. Which led me to cat videos on Youtube. I've spent the last hour in cat heaven.

I'm having an SGA rewatch, and enjoying it way more than I thought I would. It's terrible, but also just really comfortable and fun.

Waking up, doing laundry, being laid on by my cat.

Contemplating making a batch of brownies later.

Laundry can wait. Being a bed for your cat is much more important.

He is slowly taking over my arm. Soon I will be reduced to not being able to use the touchpad. Someone send the jaws of life.

Your arm is there to serve him, as are all things. The cat comes first.

I honestly love that cats are so convinced that the world belongs to them and that the idea that you might be in charge never seems to occur to them.

How could they not? All cats have personal massage therapist/food dispensers/maids. Clearly the house and everything in it belongs to them.

True. Its just funny that dogs get the same care and think it is their boss taking care of them. Cats look at that care and think it means they rule the world and everything caters to them. Dogs are happy to get any attention from you at all whenever you want to give it and will leave you alone (mostly) if you ignore them. Cats want attention when they want it and don't care what else you are doing. And when they don't want it anymore you better stop.

Well, #notallcats lol but I guess I'd mostly agree with that. I think a lot of that comes down to most owners thinking that cats don't need any training when the reality is they really, really do if you don't want them to engage in bad behaviours.

Oh, they totally need training. But even with training, every cat I've ever owned has considered themselves the boss. They'll behave well. But they still will demand attention when they want it and get annoyed if you give attention when they don't want it.

I've had six cats so far, and mine have all really varied on that account. Some were a lot like you're describing, others were very much under the impression that DAD IS ALPHA CAT.

I think you'd have to study it, but my personal theory is that it very much depends on the age of separating the cat from its mother and age of spay/neuter.

Unwinding after doing that mountain of dirty dishes I'd been procrastinating on.

Playing Mass Effect 2 (as a dude this time).

Just chilling and listening to music before going to bed. I gotta wake up early too so I'll be hitting the hay soon.

Just biding my time until it's time to go pick up medicine for my dog. Probably pick up dinner on the way back :)

Watching Buffy. Currently on S02E11 (Ted). Wanting dinner but feeling lazy.

Tinkering around with Plotist and waiting for Chinese takeout.

Packing all my shit for my trip back home.

How are you feeling about the whole thing?

Tired but happy to be heading home. I am a bit sick of eating take out. Though, this makes me wish I lived in a bigger city so I had more stuff to do. It would be awesome to have more than 5 good options for take out.
