Pretty much even Batman admits that dressing like a bat isn't healthy. It's just something he has to do. Pretty much everyone he surrounds himself with is aware of it, but they help him anyway (and continue his legacy when they must) because he's proven to have made Gotham an ultimately safer place.

The difference is I actually read comics/am actually familiar with the characters and not just their memes and know what the fuck I'm talking about.

Or maybe people just interpret things differently than you. There are always a wide range of interpretations for characters from any canon. Yes, there are interpretations that stray outside of canon, but generally there is wiggle room and different ways of interpreting the same canon. Especially for a canon like comics where there are so many different versions.

No it isn't. Plenty of comic writers agree with that interpretation. This is just another case of you needing to tell people to enjoy something a specific way.
