Do you have any ships that you shipped right from the trailers, even before you saw the actual movie?

I actually started shipping Steve/Bucky after the Winter Soldier trailers. After the first movie but before the second.

Newt Scamander/Percival Graves. UNF CAN'T WAIT.

Illya/Napoleon, from The Man From UNCLE movie.

Me too!

I already shipped them from the TV show, but they were totally shippable in the trailer. I found the movie really dull and wasn't interested in fics, though.

I shipped Lizzie and Darcy as soon as I saw the 2005 Pride and Prejudice trailer - which was before I read the novel. IT HAS THE HAND FLEX BIT OKAY, DON'T EVEN GET ME STARTED ON THE HAND FLEX BIT. Plus the scene in the gazebo. Unf.

Bond/Q from Skyfall. Though it wasn't the trailers because I'm not sure how much Q was in the trailers, it was some of the promo clips posted online. One of them was (part of) their first meeting.

Sideswipe/Strongarm. TV show, but I was shipping it based on three-sentence character profiles.

Miranda/Andrea in The Devil Wears Prada.

Harvey/Mike from Suits.

Stoker India/Charlie. I still like the pairing, but I also like the movie's ending. OT: This movie has some of the most beautiful transitions I have ever seen.

Would you be able to link me to the specific promo that made you ship Harvey/Mike? Or was there numerous pre-series promos that did it for you?

I ship them, mainly because I absolutely love the possibilities for them that were set up in the very first episode. They were just so damn shippable in that first ep (I might be flailing at my keyboard a bit just thinking about it).

Starting at 0:50 when Harvey quizzes Mike about his skills. Harvey's expression as he looks up from the law book was what first got me interested in the ship.

Kay, after watching this promo my question is OMG HOW CAN ANYBODY NOT SHIP THEM?!

I mean, I'm very biased because I already do ship them, but still. Hhnnnggg. I now feel like I need to go back and reread all the good Harvey/Mike fics I read a couple of years ago.

I try not to be a bitter slash fan, but Suits is one of those shows where I just think: If one of the leads were female, this pairing would absolutely be canon. It's just SO OBVIOUSLY a good dynamic for a central ship. And yet....

Stoker is an amazing movie, everything about it is gorgeous and eerie. Thank you for reminding me to rewatch it.

The transition from brushing her mom's hair to grass is one of my favorites ever.

Francoeur and Lucille from Un Monstre a Paris, ever since I saw a secret on F!S. That was before I saw the trailer.

I can't be arsed to remember the characters' names right now, but I shipped the Mark Ruffalo & Jesse Eisenberg characters for months based on the Now You See Me trailer alone.

...It's absolutely, totally, 100% the handcuff trick in the trailer.

There are no words for how disappointed I am that the fandom didn't take to the pairing (Dylan/J. Daniel Atlas, I think?) Whatever. The most popular pairings, it seemed, when the movie had come out & I bothered to go looking, were the Jesse Eisenberg character with either the Woody Harrelson character or the Isla Fisher character (which was kind of canon.)

And I think there was some Jesse Eisenberg character/Dave Franco character as well. But no Dylan/J. Daniel Atlas that I ever saw, sadly.

Anna/Marnie

Nothing. I ship enemies and rivals and usually their relationship isn't portrayed in much detail in the trailer.

Okay, one exception: canaan and alphard because they instantly reminded me of someone.
